Mission Statement – The Bureau was established for charitable purposes to help aid and assist members of the Masonic Family.

Vision Statement – To provide aid to those in need of assistance and to provide insightful communications.

Motto – The spirit of giving is practiced here twelve months of the year.

 

What Our Service Bureau Does:

 

Education                         Provides approximately $15,000 in Education Assistance Awards every year to local high school

  Assistance:                    seniors and college students, who will be enrolled in the Fall term.

 

Charity Grants:              Provides approximately $15,000 each year to support community programs for the needy, such as meals, aid to senior programs, hospice, clothing, aid to youth programs, etc.

 

Loan Closet:                    Loan, free-of-charge, home-care equipment, such as wheelchairs, transport chairs and rollators (a $25 refundable deposit is required for all wheelchair, transport chair, knee walkers portable ramp and rollator loans), crutches, canes, commodes, tub benches, shower seats and walkers to any person in need. No residency requirements for use.

 

Special Functions:          We sponsor the following annual District-wide programs:

  • A Widows Luncheon
  • An Apron Presentation Dinner for Grand Lodge Officers [every two years]

 

Community                     ● We assist with visitations and gifts to VA Hospitals

  Service:                          ● Support drives for Ronald McDonald Charities Home Away from Home Program

  • Assist in providing support personnel for other charitable organizations
  • Support for Hospice care facilities
  • Support youth camp and other youth programs.

 

Library:                           We maintain an extensive library of books and articles relating to or written by Masons. We also have Masonic artifacts and provide brochures and audio-visual presentations on what Masonry is and what it does.

 

Monroe Masonic            We publish a District-wide Directory of all Masonic men’s and ladies’ organizations

  Directory:                      and their top officers.

 

Miscellaneous:                We provide additional support for organizations upon request by composing and duplicating event programs, mailing labels, letters, reports and other items.

 

Website:                            We underwrite the costs and co-ordinate the updating of a District website, www.monroemasonic.com.

 

The Directors:                The Board of Directors and Representatives from Masonic Organizations meet four times a year, except July and August, to review Service Bureau operations.
